Eye photographic workshops has launched Blink in a response to the many enquiries from the 18 plus age group who want to learn about SLR photography outside of a classroom or longer courses.

Eye has developed an innovative teaching approach which can get you to grips with the camera in two days and is a fresh and exciting way to introduce aspiring photographers to the realities of life as a working photographer, the ins and outs of camera usage, how to approach people and subjects and how to get great shots.

Using your or our Canon 35mm digital SLR cameras, our experienced young lead photographers will give instruction in small personal groups of 8 maximum to help you determine if photography is right for you or is going to help with your coursework or interest as an amateur.

Taking place in the heart of London, our sessions will give you a real and exciting insight into one of the areas of professional photography.

We meet in Central London at one of a variety of destinations to get you up to speed with the cameras and teach you the basics before heading out by tube/bus to photograph one of London's most vibrant music venues, behind the scenes access as well as the capital’s street life.

You'll be introduced to how and when to use auto, ISO settings, f stops, flash, shutter speeds and lens use and we'll show you how these alter what we see and how to shoot great photographs.

The following day we'll meet, download and edit the results with you on our Macbooks using iphoto, before burning a slideshow of your work onto a DVD, your printable images and key points learnt.

You will also have access to continuing online support from one of our team.

The intensive two day course (Day 1 - 4pm to midnight and Day 2 - midday to 6pm) will give you invaluable experience and show you what photography is about.

We are offering a special introductory price of £185 for the two day course, inc all equipment and club entry. Local travel and refreshments excluded.
